Designed to provide full comfort and freedom of movement, a front buckle makes the collar easy to be worn and taken off while a high collar adds to the protection. It also comes with leather straps, with which it can be reinforced. Padded garments are worn underneath metal and chain mail armor to improve the absorption of impact and reinforce coverage. In medieval times, padding would be stuffed with rags and straw but this armor padding is made of 100% cotton and uses compressed and layered cotton padding.
